A New 9/11 If Obama Wins? Biden says “Yes”

October 31, 2008

While he does not refer directly to the events of 9/11, Joe Biden clearly has the Al Qaeda attack firmly in his mind when he reflects upon and warns his audience what to expect if Americans were to vote for Barack Obama as the next President. Joe Biden, Obama’s choice for VP, actually states that an international crisis will occur (ie attack on USA). In fact, he adds, “I guarantee you, it’s gonna happen.”

Do Americans want another crisis to test them? Biden says a vote for Obama will invite an attack. It’s hard to believe he would say this… but he does. Why would Americans want to be the victims of another ‘crisis’/attack?

McCain v Obama: Round 1 – No KO

September 27, 2008

Last night’s debate did not offer up any major gaffes by either of the candidates. Barack Obama had clearly learned his lines very well, while John McCain gave his usual solid debating performance. Unlike Obama, McCain’s answers were natural and authentic as he drew upon his years of experience in the fields of foreign policy and protecting the American taxpayer. It was pleasing to see Obama have the decency to actually admit on numerous occasions that McCain was right about a variety of issues.

McCain seemed to be the overall winner by virtue of his attacking style in the debate, as compared to Obama’s rather defensive answers. Obama was on the back foot for much of the foreign policy part of the night owing to his lack of experience.

After this first debate, it seems unlikely either candidate will make a disastrous mistake in the debates to come, although Obama will have to be careful that his smug smirks and guffaws when McCain is speaking are not repeated.

Obama… Postpone?: No, Politics More Important Than Recession

September 24, 2008

As we await Barack Obama’s response to Senator McCain’s request to postpone Friday’s Presidential Debate, we have time to reflect upon Obama’s lack of leadership once again. After the Russian invasion of Georgia, Obama followed (only after a few lame attempts at tackling the subject) meekly in line with McCain’s harsh criticism of Moscow.

It should come as no surprise that McCain is demonstrating Presidential judgement in deciding that a debate is a mere trifle compared with the economic problems facing the country at this time. It should be equally unsurprising that Obama is putting his campaign and his own personal success ahead of the prosperity of the country and of every American. No doubt, he thinks the average American can find refuge in their religion in these tough times.

It is time to demonstrate bipartisanship – Obama has rarely shown this quality compared with McCain who has consistently reached across to the opposition to broker deals that benefit every American.

McCain remains the real hero, a GI Joe turned President; Obama remains an Inaction Man.

McCain Leads and Puts America First… Postpone The Debate!

September 24, 2008

Senator John McCain takes the leadership role once again, as he calls for Friday’s Presidential debate to be postponed in order that he might take a more active role in thrashing out a deal that could potentially put the brakes on the economic downturn.

The $700 billion bailout is controversial and requires bipartisan agreement. John McCain is the man to unite the parties and encourage the politicians to be prepared to compromise, if necessary, in order to salvage the economy.

John McCain puts his country first once again. He has made a clear decision that is risky; it might detrimentally affect his campaign. For McCain, the future of America and the plight of every American is far more important right now that his efforts to be President. This is a clear example of the leadership and principled outlook that America and the world needs.
